Directions to Bethells Beach Cottages from Auckland City
- Leave the city via the North Western Motorway (Highway 16) and
take the Lincoln Road off ramp (one after Te Atatu off ramp) to
arrive in Waitakere City.
- Once on Lincoln Road, continue straight
ahead turning right at the second set of traffic lights into Universal
Drive (Pak'N Save on the corner).
- Follow Universal Drive right
to the end whereupon there is a roundabout. As you are going around
the round-about, take the second road on
the left - Swanson Road and continue through Ranui and Swanson
townships - (the last shops to stock up on groceries).
- Continue on
Swanson Road, through to Scenic Drive North passing as you go
through the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges.
- On your left, you
will pass Cassells Restaurant - there is a slight S bend and then you should
turn
right on to Te Henga Road which will take you down through
Bethells Valley and
eventually join with Bethells Road (Bethells Road is an L-shape.
Turning right takes you into Waitakere and continuing straight through
will take you to Bethells).
- Continue straight ahead
down Bethells Road (do not turn right) as this
will take you to Waitakere. Continue along Bethells Road ahead, once
over the second one lane bridge, continue over one speed bump and then turning
right towards the beach car park.
- There you will see our red
arrow
which will direct you the left. Continue over the second speed
bump and follow the sealed road until you meet with a gate and a 'Private
Property - No Entry' sign.
- Inside this gate you will see the Bethells
Beach Cottages sign. Drive along the drive and
up a steep hill, then turn right at the second
Bethells Beach Cottages sign into our driveway.
- Our house is
a sage
green house with white window trim. It is situated at the edge
of the Bethells Beach Cottages property. Drive up to the house and
we will take you down to your cottage.
Note: If you have gone to the top of the hill you have
gone too far.
