Waitakere
City is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in the
world. Bethells Beach (Te Henga), Piha, Kare Kare and the lush Waitakere Ranges are just some of the sensational locations that make up our diverse and wonderful city. There is plenty to see and do - with beaches, lakes, wetlands, rain forest and rural pastures we have it all. Waitakere City and nearby Rodney District are home to many vineyards and orchards, and as New Zealand's first 'GE Free Zone', you can be sure to find fresh, tasty and organic produce nearby - so it's easy to pack a picnic and enjoy the scenery. Until you can make the time to come and explore our city in person, this Image Gallery contains just a sampling of the views that we wake up to every morning.
