Your wedding is more than an event to us. It is a pivotal moment, held in a landscape that has been doing ceremony far longer than any of us.
Bethells Beach Cottages sit in a glorious environment where an entire wedding day can unfold against rich backdrops of natural beauty with sweeping views from the sand dunes to the Tasman horizon, wild surf, dramatic sunsets and a calming sea breeze off the water.
Created by resident owners John Paice and Trude Bethell, a registered Marriage and Civil Union celebrant, a wedding here is like no other. One property holds the ceremony, the photography, the dinner and the morning after, so nobody has to drive anywhere once they arrive.

Trude has loved her celebrancy work for over thirty years. Through a life of mentoring, healing and wisdom she supports personalised ceremonies with both individuals — religious, spiritual or cultural. Every smile, heart and life is honoured in the moment.

Dining & Celebration
Pavilion dining for sixty with chefs and wait team, cottages for the bridal party, breakfast in the morning.

Wedding Packages
Six ways to hold the day, from a ceremony-only afternoon to eight hours with dining, marquee and cottages. Thirty to sixty guests.
Elopements
Just the two of you, or up to twenty. Celebrant, ceremony setup, champagne and a honeymoon cottage. From $995 + GST.

Same-sex couples from within New Zealand and overseas are warmly welcomed, as are ceremonies of any faith, culture or none at all.
